Bobby & the Ghosthunters

Sanne (14) lost her mother when she was very young. She is fascinated by the idea of life after death. One day her father Lucas, a renowned ghost hunter, is asked to expel ghosts that haunt the hotel cruise ship ss Rotterdam.

Because it’s a school holiday, Lucas can bring Els, Sanne, and her brother Thomas with him. There,Sanne makes contact with a ghost, Bobby (16). Just like the other ghosts, Bobby has a reason why he hasn’t gone to the hereafter yet.  He regrets leaving his mother without warning and hopes he can make it up to her.

But not all ghosts are as friendly as Bobby.

With the help of the ghosts Sanne manages to free her father, who in turn helps Bobby to materialise, allowing him to finally say a proper goodbye to… Martha!Sanne accepts that she should leave the dead in peace, and Bobby promises to tell her mother in the hereafter that she’s doing well and that Els is a fantastic (step-) mother for her.
